White holly, with a streak of black walnut, encapsulated by a blanket of redbud wood. Almost like cream filling, with a swirl of chocolate, wrapped in a pastry shell. Almost like a cannoli.

Italy may have produced Michaelangelo and Da Vinci, but when we look at overall contributions to society, Italy’s neighbors to the south–the Sicilians—can’t be forgotten. After all, it was the Sicilians who came up with the idea to take sugary, creamy goodness and stuff it into a delicate pastry shell. Like a gentle, sweet, fun-loving taco.

Made with wood from redbud, black walnut, & holly trees from Aspen Hill, MD.
